Vegetable stew like in kindergarten

Kindergarten vegetable stew is prepared mainly from cabbage, potatoes, carrots and onions, only in the most gentle way, that is, stewing. It is important that the vegetables are very soft. It is seasoned with sour cream and tomato sauce, although vegetables can also be stewed in milk sauce. The dish will turn out to be colorful and tender and will appeal to young children.

Peel and rinse the onions and carrots. Then cut them into small cubes. In a saucepan, heat up a lot of oil and lightly fry the chopped carrots and onions in it (4-5 minutes). Cut the tomato into small pieces and transfer to the carrots and onions.
step 3 out of 8
Chop a piece of cabbage into small cubes and, after adding a little salt, remember with your hand. Then transfer to the rest of the vegetables. Add plenty of water to the pot to keep the vegetables stewed rather than boiled.
step 4 out of 8
Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes as well. Transfer it to a saucepan. Add green peas to the stew and salt the dish. Simmer vegetables over low heat and covered for 1 hour until very soft. Water can be added to vegetables as it boils away.
step 5 out of 8
Mix sour cream with tomato paste on a plate.
step 6 out of 8
While stewing, add the sauce with sour cream and tomato paste to the stew, stir.
step 7 out of 8
10 minutes before the end of braising, pour the flour diluted in 50 ml of water into the stew and stir again.

Bon appetit to your children!
