step 4 out of 15
Mix the ingredients well and cover tightly with a towel. Leave the resulting dough warm for one hour.

While the dough is right, prepare the dried fruits. Wash the raisins and cranberries from dirt and impurities, then pour boiling water over for 10 - 20 minutes.
step 6 out of 15
In another bowl, break the eggs, add vanilla and the remaining sugar to them.
step 7 out of 15
Stir the egg mass with a mixer until the sugar dissolves.
step 8 out of 15
Melt the butter in advance. Pour the egg mixture and melted butter into the matched dough. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
step 9 out of 15
Add the remaining flour. Don't forget to add a pinch of salt.
step 10 out of 15
Knead the dough well. It should be soft and tender. If the consistency is elastic and easily removed from the bowl, then the dough is ready. Lubricate the container with vegetable oil, place the finished dough in it and wrap it on top with a towel. Let the dough rise, put it again in a warm place for an hour, and return to the dried fruit.
step 11 out of 15
We drain the water. Put dried fruits on a towel or napkin to get rid of excess moisture. We get wet, dry.
step 12 out of 15
Sprinkle dried fruits with flour so that they mix well with the dough. Add lemon peel, almond petals, and mix.
step 13 out of 15
Before you start kneading the dough, grease your hands with vegetable oil so that it does not stick. Then add dried fruits to the matched dough, and continue to knead. We leave it warm for an hour.
step 14 out of 15
We prepare forms for cakes. Lubricate them with butter, spread the dough. The dough can take up about 1/3 of the mold's volume. Leave the dough in the mold under the towel for about 40 minutes.
step 15 out of 15
We start to bake. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease the top of the cakes with an egg so that our cakes become ruddy and do not burn. Bake molds with dough for 35 - 60 minutes, depending on the size of the mold. We check the readiness with a toothpick. Pierce the cake with a toothpick. If it is ready, then you can easily get a dry toothpick. After the cakes have cooled down, you can decorate them as you like. You can pour glaze on top, sprinkle with multi-colored powder or various decorative flowers, even put an inscription on the "hat" of the Easter cake.
