Liver cake classic recipe

Liver cake does not need to be baked in the oven. This is a hearty dish with an interesting presentation. In the classic version, fried onions and carrots, and mayonnaise-garlic dressing are used for the layer between the liver cakes.

Wash the liver, dry and mince or grind with a blender.

Beat an egg into the liver, add sour cream, flour, salt and pepper, knead a thick dough. Fry liver pancakes on both sides in a small pan.

For the filling, finely chop the onion and grate the carrots. Fry vegetables in a skillet until tender. Wash the greens and chop finely with a knife. In a separate container, mix the chopped garlic and mayonnaise.

Collect the cake. Put the liver pancake on a flat dish, brush it with mayonnaise-garlic dressing, put onion and carrot roast on top, sprinkle with herbs, cover with the next pancake and continue until the pancakes and filling run out. The top pancake can be decorated with herbs or fresh vegetables as you wish. Put the cake in the refrigerator for 8-12 hours to soak well.
