If there is a package of puff pastry in the refrigerator, then at any time you can prepare fresh baked goods for every taste. In this recipe, we suggest baking a blueberry pie - both fresh and frozen will do. To prevent the berries from emitting a lot of juice during baking, mix them first with starch - it will retain moisture and prevent the dough from getting too wet. This cake is delicious both warm and completely cooled.
Ingredients
Cooking process
Before making the cake, puff yeast-free dough must be defrosted so that it regains its plasticity and softness. Sprinkle the working surface with flour and put a layer of thawed dough on it. Alternatively, you can cover the table with parchment and do the work on it. Roll out the dough into a layer of such a size that it can be placed in a baking dish and decorated with bumpers. We also need dough to decorate the top of the cake, so we cut off a small part of the layer for this in advance. Cover the baking dish with oiled parchment and immediately place the rolled dough into it.
Roll out the remaining dough and cut into strips of the desired length. We form a lattice from them on the surface of the berries. Break the egg into a separate small container and shake well with a fork and a pinch of granulated sugar. Lubricate the edges of the pie with the resulting mixture using a silicone brush. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. Place the cake pan on the middle level of the hot oven and bake for fifteen to twenty minutes. By the end of cooking, the surface and edges of the cake should be golden brown.
Bon Appetit!
