Puff pastry pie with fresh strawberries

The recipe for frozen owl puff pastry with fresh strawberries is so simple that even an inexperienced housewife herself can handle it. At the same time, it turns out to be very tasty, due to the combination of fragile puff pastry and juicy, sweet strawberries.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Remove the frozen puff pastry from the freezer and thaw. Roll it out on a floured work surface until it approximately doubles in size. Grease a baking sheet with oil and transfer the rolled dough to it.
step 2 out of 5
Wash the strawberries, remove the stems from them. Dry the berries so that excess moisture does not get into the cake. It is convenient to do this with paper towels. Cut each berry into several thin pieces and place them in the center of the future pie, leaving 2-3 cm from the edge.
step 3 out of 5
Sprinkle the sugar over the strawberries and shape the edges, pinching the dough. This will prevent the strawberry juice from leaking out while baking the pie. In shape, our cake will be somewhat reminiscent of a biscuit.
step 4 out of 5
Place the baking sheet with the pie in the oven, which must be preheated to 180 ° C. Bake for about 20 minutes. Then take them out of the oven, let the cake cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar on top.
step 5 out of 5
Serve chilled strawberry puff pastry with a cup of tea.
Bon Appetit!
