Cabbage pie with mayonnaise batter in the oven

The dough on mayonnaise for a jellied pie is interesting in that it is kneaded quickly and easily, it turns out to be liquid and at the same time gives a delicate and friable crumb. To harmoniously combine the cabbage filling with the porous texture of the dough, grind it as thinly as possible before putting it in the pie. We also add some carrots for flavor and color. Sprinkle the surface with sesame seeds - this not only decorates the cake, but also gives it pleasant taste notes.

Chop white cabbage with a knife or using a combine. You can also grind it with a special grater. Squeeze the sliced mass well with your hands to soften it and reduce its volume.

Grease the baking dish with a small amount of vegetable oil.
step 4 out of 6
We spread the prepared cabbage in the form. Peel the carrots from the top skin, wash and rub on a coarse grater. Pour the carrot shavings evenly over the cabbage.
step 5 out of 6
Pour the prepared dough over the cabbage and carrot filling. We try to do this evenly so that the cake is smooth. The last step is to sprinkle the dough with sesame seeds. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. We send the pie into it and bake for forty minutes. Baking times may vary depending on the specific oven. By the end of the process, an appetizing golden brown crust should appear on the surface.

We take the finished cake out of the oven, let it cool slightly, and then remove it from the mold. Cut into portions and serve warm or cooled.
