Defrost the yeast puff pastry slightly. Place it on parchment for easy transfer to a baking sheet and roll it into a rectangular layer. The thickness of the dough should be about 1 cm. Make cuts on the sides of the rectangular dough sheet (see photo). Place strawberry jam in the center and distribute it evenly.
Cover the pie filling with the side strips. Do this at a slight angle. This will make the cake prettier. Brush the surface of the cake with egg yolk so that it is browned after baking. Place a baking sheet with a pie on the middle level of an oven preheated to 190 ° C and bake for about half an hour.
