Pie with frozen strawberries and sour cream filling

A juicy dessert cake with frozen strawberries - you can cook such pastries at any time of the year. The sandy crust turns out to be crumbly and crunchy, the sour cream filling after baking thickens and resembles a dense cream in consistency and taste. Strawberries, on the other hand, successfully dilute this combination with their juiciness. An excellent baking option when you want an exquisite treat, but there is no desire to bother in the kitchen for a long time.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
To prepare shortcrust pastry, put softened butter in a bowl, break an egg to it, add granulated sugar, a pinch of salt and vanilla sugar. Beat everything together with a mixer until a homogeneous mass is obtained and the sugar grains dissolve.
step 2 out of 6
Sift the flour into the resulting butter-egg mixture and knead the pliable, non-sticky dough. We roll it into a ball and place it in the refrigerator until called up. After cooling, it will harden and will be easier to work with.
step 3 out of 6
Preparing the sour cream filling. To do this, break the eggs into a separate bowl, pour granulated sugar and vanilla sugar. Beat everything together with a mixer until smooth. Then add sour cream and starch in the specified amount. Mix everything together with a whisk or mixer at low speed until smooth.
step 4 out of 6
Grease the baking dish with butter. If you are in doubt about the quality of the mold cover, it is better to cover it with oiled parchment. The silicone mold does not need to be lubricated. We distribute the shortbread dough in shape with our hands, form the sides.
step 5 out of 6
Defrost the strawberries in advance. Drain the juice that will stand out during defrosting. Cut the strawberries in half if the berries are too large. We spread the prepared berries on the dough in the form. Fill them with sour cream filling.
step 6 out of 6
Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. We put the cake pan on the middle level of an already hot oven and bake for approximately forty-five to fifty minutes. Baking times may vary as it depends on the specific oven. The finished cake should be well browned around the edges, and the sour cream filling should thicken and become a warm creamy shade. We take the finished product out of the oven, cool it completely and release it from the mold. After cooling, the filling of the pie becomes even denser.
Bon Appetit!
