Oven frozen red currant pie

If you managed to freeze some berries since the summer, then this is a great excuse to prepare a delicious treat and gather friends for tea during the cold winter season. Due to the red currant, the dough turns out to be moderately moist, well-saturated with berry juice and generally surpasses all your expectations. If you want the same result, then feel free to start cooking.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
While the berries are thawing, prepare the pie dough. To do this, combine chicken eggs with granulated sugar and beat with a mixer until the egg mass is clarified. However, it's important not to overdo it.
step 2 out of 5
Pour kefir at room temperature into the egg-sugar mixture and add butter. We continue to beat the mass until smooth.
step 3 out of 5
Then gradually add flour sifted with baking powder into the liquid base and knead a homogeneous dough of a creamy consistency. Then grease the baking dish with a thin layer of butter and fill it with dough, evenly distributing it over the entire surface of the mold.
step 4 out of 5
Put the defrosted berries on top of the dough and sprinkle them with granulated sugar. Lightly melt the red currant into the dough so that most of it is immersed.
step 5 out of 5
We send the formed pie into an oven preheated to 190 degrees and bake for an hour. It is better not to open the oven for the first 30 minutes, so that it rises better. The readiness of the pie is determined not only by its appearance, but also by a wooden toothpick. It should remain dry when it comes out of the dough. For serving, you can sprinkle the cake with a thin layer of powdered sugar or, using your imagination, come up with your own decor.
We wish you bon appetite!
