Yeast dough sorrel pie

I want to share with you a recipe for a delicious yeast dough sorrel pie. The dough can be used ready-made or you can prepare it yourself. It is better, of course, to prepare the dough with your own hands, but if you are limited in time, use the ready-made dough.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 11
Decide whether you will cook the yeast dough yourself or buy a ready-made one. Ready yeast dough will need 500 grams. If you use ready-made dough, then you will only need to prepare the sorrel filling, after washing, drying and cutting it.
step 2 out of 11
If you will be preparing the dough yourself, then prepare the necessary ingredients. Pour milk and drinking water preheated to a warm state into a deep bowl, add dry yeast.
step 3 out of 11
Then add a tablespoon of granulated sugar and a few tablespoons of pre-sifted wheat flour. Stir well, tighten with cling film and leave in a warm place for about 30 minutes. Dough during this time will rise well and increase. Sift the remaining amount of wheat flour in several steps and send it to the dough.
step 4 out of 11
Then break a chicken egg, salt and pour in the required amount of vegetable oil. Knead the dough thoroughly. Put the kneaded dough in a container and cover with a towel. The capacity should be several times larger, as the dough will grow well in size. Leave in a warm place for about 1.5-2 hours.
step 5 out of 11
Sort the sorrel thoroughly, rinse in running water.
step 6 out of 11
Place on a clean kitchen towel, roll up and pat dry for 5 minutes.
step 7 out of 11
Tear off the sorrel stalks and cut the leaves.
step 8 out of 11
Divide the matched dough into two equal parts. Prepare a baking dish and brush well with a little vegetable oil. Roll out the dough about 1 centimeter thick. Spoon into a greased baking dish with bumpers, then lay out the chopped sorrel.
step 9 out of 11
Sprinkle with granulated sugar on top. Roll out the second part of the dough, put it on top of the filling, pinch the edges well, cut off the excess dough, make cuts or a hole in the center.
step 10 out of 11
Place the cake pan in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 30-40 minutes. Check readiness with a wooden skewer.
step 11 out of 11
Gently remove the finished cake from the oven and cool completely. Transfer from the mold to a serving platter and serve in portions.

Bon Appetit!
