Pie with sorrel in a slow cooker

Since childhood, I love homemade sorrel cakes and I often cook them during the season. Today I want to make a sorrel pie in a slow cooker and I advise you to use my favorite recipe. The filling is juicy and balanced in taste.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance and leave at room temperature. Measure and sift the required amount of premium wheat flour. Rinse the sorrel thoroughly under running water and dry with paper towels. Then chop not quite finely. Combine chopped sorrel with granulated sugar and cornstarch.
step 2 out of 5
Mix thoroughly. Place softened butter, cottage cheese, sifted wheat flour, baking powder, salt and granulated sugar in a deep bowl. Collect the dough in a lump, do not knead for a long time. Place in a plastic bag or tighten the container with cling film and refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.
step 3 out of 5
Grease the multicooker bowl with a small amount of vegetable or butter. Take the dough out of the refrigerator, divide into two parts, one part should be larger than the other. Roll out most of it into a layer about 1 centimeter thick, put it in a multicooker bowl, forming sides.
step 4 out of 5
Spread the filling evenly. The cornstarch will allow the filling to keep its shape and not to spread out the released oxalic juice. Roll the second part of the dough into a layer and cover the filling on top, pinch the edges well. Prick the dough with a fork. Close the lid of the multicooker. Select the "Bake" or "Bake" mode on the appliance panel.
step 5 out of 5
Set the cooking time to 40 minutes. After the beep, turn off the appliance and let the cake stand for 10 minutes without opening the lid of the multicooker. Then open the lid of the appliance and carefully remove the cake by transferring it to the serving dish. Cool the pie a little, garnish with powdered sugar on top and serve in portions.

Bon Appetit!
