In my family, all the great connoisseurs of pastry. But the process of preparing such dishes is time-consuming. With great desire and with all my heart, I want to share a wonderful recipe for lazy cabbage pies made from pita bread in a pan. Lazy pies can be a great alternative to regular pies and will save you a lot of time.

Wash the carrots thoroughly in running water, peel them with a vegetable peeler, grate on a coarse grater. Peel the onions, rinse under water and finely chop with a knife. Put the vegetables in a well-heated frying pan, greased with a little vegetable oil, and fry until softened.

Meanwhile, finely chop the white cabbage with a sharp knife.

Put the chopped cabbage to the fried vegetables, add the required amount of rice, previously boiled in salted water. Stir constantly, fry the filling for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.

Wash the available greens thoroughly, dry and chop with a knife, then send to the filling.

Break the chicken eggs into a deep bowl, add wheat flour and the required amount of drinking water. Mix thoroughly until smooth with a fork or whisk.

Cut the sheets of Armenian lavash into several identical rectangular pieces. I usually cut the sheet into 6-8 pieces, depending on the size of the pita bread. Place the cabbage filling on each part of the pita bread and fold the sides inward.

Heat a deep frying pan well over moderate heat, pour in a small amount of vegetable oil and put the prepared pies, having previously dipped them in batter, fry until an appetizing crisp on one side.

Then gently flip over to the other side, and fry on the other side.

Put the finished pies on a plate, first covering it with paper towels or napkins so that the excess oil is absorbed. Then transfer the pita pies with cabbage to a plate or serving dish and treat your guests.
