Today I want to share with you a recipe for mouth-watering and incredibly tasty pies with potatoes made from pita bread in a pan. Cooking ordinary pies with potatoes takes a lot of time, and lavash pies are prepared in a matter of minutes.

Wash the potatoes in cool running water using a brush for washing vegetables and fruits, peel them with a vegetable peeler. Place potatoes in a saucepan, cover with cold water and put on fire, bring to a boil. Then season with salt and reduce heat, cook potatoes, covered, for about 15 minutes.

Then drain the water in which the potatoes were cooked through a sieve or colander. Use a potato grinder to puree the potatoes.

Peel the onions, rinse under water and finely chop with a knife. Place in a well-heated skillet, greased with a little vegetable oil, and fry until softened.

Add the required amount of sour cream to the mashed potatoes. Instead of sour cream, you can add mayonnaise or natural yogurt.

Put the fried onions in the potato filling, salt well and mix the filling thoroughly.

Cut the sheets of Armenian lavash into several identical rectangular pieces. I usually cut the sheet into 6-8 pieces, depending on the size of the pita bread.

Heat a deep frying pan well over moderate heat, pour in a small amount of vegetable oil and lay out the prepared pies, fry until delicious crispy crust on both sides.
