Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
First, prepare the amount of food for pilaf indicated in the recipe. Rinse the pork. Peel and rinse the onions and carrots.
step 2 out of 9
Cut the prepared pork and vegetables into pieces with a sharp knife. It is better to chop carrots for pilaf into strips, since grated carrots make pilaf viscous.
step 3 out of 9
Rinse the previously soaked barley several times with cold water.
step 4 out of 9
Pour some vegetable oil into a multi-bowl, put the pieces of pork into it and turn on the "Fry" program for 10 minutes. Fry the meat until golden brown, stirring with a spatula.
step 5 out of 9
Then transfer the chopped carrots and onions to the fried meat and fry them until transparent. You can change the program to "Vegetables", if there is one in your multicooker.
step 6 out of 9
Then transfer the washed barley to the fried ingredients and use a spatula to spread it evenly over the meat and vegetables.
step 7 out of 9
Sprinkle the pilaf with salt and spices to your liking. Usually they use spices for pilaf, they go well with barley. Then pour the required amount of water into the bowl and close the lid. Turn on the program "Pilaf" or "Stew" for the default time. Watch the water level in the bowl as you cook - you may need to add a little.
step 8 out of 9
After the signal about the end of the program, leave the pearl barley pilaf in the bowl for a while to infuse, so that it becomes crumbly. Then open the lid and stir the pilaf.
step 9 out of 9
Barley pilaf cooked in a multicooker with meat can be laid out in portioned plates and served to the table.

Bon Appetit!
