Pilaf with turkey in a slow cooker

Nowadays, turkey meat is increasingly being chosen for the preparation of various dishes. It is less fatty and contains little cholesterol, and besides, it has a special taste. One of these dishes is turkey pilaf in a slow cooker. It is prepared according to the general rules of "correct" pilaf with lamb: first prepare zirvak (meat and vegetable base of pilaf), then add rice and spices. The multicooker helps the hostess to cook it easier and easier.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
First of all, rinse the pilaf rice well and fill it with hot salted water for 15 minutes. Rinse the turkey fillet with water and remove excess moisture with a kitchen towel. Then cut the meat across the grain into medium pieces.
step 2 out of 5
Peel the onion and carrots, rinse and chop into strips and half rings.
step 3 out of 5
Pour the indicated amount of vegetable oil into the multi-bowl and turn on the "Fry" program for 20 minutes, at least, since in some multicooker models the default time for this program is only 10 minutes. Heat the oil and transfer the turkey pieces and chopped vegetables to the bowl. For the first 10 minutes, fry these ingredients, stirring occasionally with a spatula, under the open lid of the appliance. Then add salt to your liking, pilaf seasoning, a little clean water into the bowl, close the lid and cook the zirvak on the same program until it ends. Then put hot pepper and a head of unpeeled garlic in the zirvak.
step 4 out of 5
Rinse the soaked rice again with cold water and lay it on top of the zirvak evenly. Then pour hot water into the bowl to a level of 0.5-1 cm above the rice layer, no more, because our rice is soaked. Close the lid of the multicooker and turn on the "Pilaf" or "Stew" program for the default time. After the signal about the end of the program, leave the pilaf in the multicooker, without opening the lid, for another 10 minutes.
step 5 out of 5
Then gently stir the cooked pilaf with turkey in a slow cooker with a spatula, remove the sample and serve.
Bon Appetit!
