Pilaf with chicken in a Philips multicooker

The Phillips multicooker will allow you to cook pilaf with chicken to a taste that is not inferior to a traditional dish from a thick-walled cauldron. For pilaf, choose good chicken meat and quality rice. We cook on the programs "Frying" and "Pilaf" and separately fry chicken and vegetables. For a multicooker of this model, the ratio of rice to water is taken 1: 1, then the pilaf will be moderately moist and crumbly.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 21
Rinse half of the chicken carcass well and cut into large pieces at the joints. Then use the sharpest possible knife to separate the meat from the bones. You can remove or leave the skin.
step 2 out of 21
Then cut the meat into pieces up to 2-3 cm in size, do not need less, as it will fry during cooking.
step 3 out of 21
Transfer the pieces of meat to a separate bowl.
step 4 out of 21
Then sprinkle the meat to your liking with salt and pilaf spice. If there is no ready-made spice, then add cumin, suneli hops and dry basil to the meat. Then mix the meat with spices well.
step 5 out of 21
Pour some vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl and turn on the "Fry" program. Set the time manually –15 minutes and press the “Start” button. Fry the chicken pieces until the end of the program time and stir slightly with a spatula.
step 6 out of 21
While the chicken is browning, peel and rinse the onions and carrots. Chop the onion into medium cubes.
step 7 out of 21
Chop the carrots into strips or thin cubes, but you can chop on a coarse grater.
step 8 out of 21
Transfer the fried chicken pieces from the bowl to a separate bowl. Then put the chopped onion into the bowl, turn on the "Fry" program again and set the timer to 15 minutes. You can add some oil to the onion. Fry the onion for 5 minutes and until transparent, stirring occasionally.
step 9 out of 21
Then transfer the chopped carrots to the onion and fry the vegetables until light golden brown.
step 10 out of 21
Add a spoonful of tomato paste to the fried vegetables.
step 11 out of 21
Then transfer the fried chicken pieces to the bowl, stir and simmer for another 5-10 minutes on the same program.
step 12 out of 21
Pour the specified amount of rice into a deep bowl and rinse 8-10 times with cold water.
step 13 out of 21
During this time, the meat with vegetables, that is, zirvak, is already ready.
step 14 out of 21
Put the prepared rice on it in an even layer, just do not mix with the rest of the ingredients, otherwise it will not be pilaf, but rice porridge.
step 15 out of 21
Salt the rice a little, add turmeric and a little cumin.
step 16 out of 21
Then pour the calculated amount of hot water into the bowl. Pour water little by little and over a spoon or the side of the bowl. The water level should be 1 cm above the rice layer.
step 17 out of 21
Close the lid of the multicooker. Turn on the Rissoto program. Set the timer for 35 minutes and turn on "Start".
step 18 out of 21
10 minutes before the end of the program, stick unpeeled chives or a whole head into the rice.
step 19 out of 21
5 minutes before the end of the program, collect the pilaf with a spatula and put the butter on top. Then close the lid and wait for the end of the cooking time.
step 20 out of 21
After the signal about the end of the program, stir the pilaf a little with a spatula.
step 21 out of 21
Then you can lay out on plates and serve. The remaining pilaf will preserve its crispness and taste well the next day.
Bon Appetit!
