Wash the tomatoes, transfer to a bowl and let them dry. Meanwhile, pour 2 liters of water into a saucepan, place on the stove, bring the liquid to a boil and boil for 3-5 minutes.

Sterilize cans for preserving tomatoes, boil the lids. Arrange the tomatoes in jars to the top, pour boiling water over them, cover the jars with lids and leave for 10 minutes. Then drain the water back into the saucepan, boil it and pour over the tomatoes again for another 10 minutes.

Pour apple juice into a saucepan, bring it to a boil and boil for 5-6 minutes.

Drain the water from the cans into the sink, we won't need it anymore. Now fill the tomato jars with apple juice, add the garlic cloves to each jar to taste, add salt and sugar. Roll up the cans with metal lids, put them upside down, cover with a blanket and leave to cool in this position.
