Tomato wedges with onion and oil

I want to offer a simple, but very tasty recipe for tomato slices with onions and oil for the winter. The appetizer turns out to be simply incredible and instantly disappears from the table. So I advise you to cook a lot at once. I am 1000% sure that you will not regret it.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
Peel the onions and cut into half rings 1 centimeter thick. Choose strong tomatoes, the size of the fruit will not affect the harvest in any way. Wash and dry the tomatoes thoroughly. Cut out the stem and cut into wedges.
step 2 out of 8
Wash the jars thoroughly and sterilize in the microwave, oven or water bath. Pour boiling water over the lids or simmer in a saucepan for about 10 minutes. Rinse your favorite greens and shake off excess moisture. Put some greens and half of the chopped onions on the bottom of sterile jars.
step 3 out of 8
Then put the tomato slices in half and the onions.
step 4 out of 8
Fill the jar completely with tomatoes, top with onion half rings and some greens. Fill with pre-prepared boiling water, cover with sterile lids and leave for 15-20 minutes.
step 5 out of 8
Drain the water from the cans into a saucepan, add granulated sugar and coarse salt. Put on fire and bring to a boil.
step 6 out of 8
Pour in vinegar and vegetable oil, let it boil again and remove from heat.
step 7 out of 8
Pour the cooked marinade over the tomato jars right away. Cover hot jars with sterile lids and close tightly with screw caps or seamer. Turn the cans upside down, wrap them in a warm blanket, leave to cool completely in this form for about a day.
step 8 out of 8
Then, transfer the tomato snack jars to a cool, dark place for storage.

Bon Appetit!
