Tomato slices in tomato sauce

This recipe will cook tender and sweet tomatoes in tomato sauce. In terms of time and method of preparation, it is identical to the usual canning of tomatoes, and thanks to vinegar, you can also save this preparation for the winter.

Wash the jars for blanks thoroughly with a soda solution and sterilize them in a way convenient for you. Boil the lids and let them dry.

Wash the tomatoes, dry them, cut the stalks and cut each vegetable into several slices. Fill the jars with tomato slices.

Then prepare the marinade. Pour water into a saucepan, bring it to a boil, reduce heat to medium, add tomato paste. After the contents of the pot boil, cook the marinade for 5 minutes. Add sugar, salt, bay leaf and peppercorns, stir and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Finally, pour in the vinegar, stir and remove the pan from heat. Pour tomatoes in jars with hot tomato marinade and immediately roll up the jars with lids.
