Tomatoes under the snow in a 2 liter jar

Tomatoes canned in this way look very impressive. Grated garlic imitates snow that "falls" between tomatoes, moving freely over the marinade. In addition to being spectacular, tomatoes are easy to prepare and have a pleasant, moderately spicy taste. They will perfectly complement any meat dish, adding juiciness and characteristic aroma. The number of components is calculated for a two liter can.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
We choose ripe tomatoes of high quality, preferably the same size. We wash them under running water and dry them. We prick each tomato with a toothpick in several places so that the skin does not burst during subsequent processing.
step 2 out of 4
Wash the jar and sterilize it in any usual way. We do the same with the lid. Put tomatoes in a prepared jar. We do it quite tightly, but carefully - do not deform the tomatoes. Fill the tomatoes with boiling water, cover with lids and leave in this position for ten to fifteen minutes.
step 3 out of 4
Then we pour the water into a separate saucepan and put it on the stove. Add salt, sugar and heat to a boil. While the marinade is heating, clean and rinse the chives. Three on a grater and put on top of the tomatoes in a jar. We also pour citric acid into the jar.
step 4 out of 4
When the marinade boils, remove it from the stove and immediately pour it tomatoes and garlic in a jar. We roll up the lids. We turn the jar upside down to check the tightness. For additional "passive" sterilization, wrap the jar with a blanket and let it cool slowly. When cooled down, it can be stored in a cool, dark place. It is recommended to eat these tomatoes throughout the year.

Bon Appetit!
