Tomatoes with bell pepper through a meat grinder for the winter

Chopped tomatoes with peppers and onions are transferred to a saucepan and mixed with each other. Salt, sugar are added to them, and everything is cooked for about 40 minutes. Vegetables are laid out in sterile jars and rolled up. It turns out to be a very tasty and aromatic addition to various dishes.

To begin with, rinse all vegetables well under running water and dry them on a paper towel. Cut the bell pepper into several parts and remove the seeds from it. Cut out the stalks of tomatoes.

Pass the peeled tomatoes with pepper through a meat grinder.

Peel the onion, send it to the blender bowl and chop it. If you pass it through a meat grinder, then it will be watery.

We shift all the chopped vegetables into one saucepan with a thick bottom. Add salt, granulated sugar to them and send them to a small fire. Bring to a boil and cook for 40 minutes, stirring constantly. Cook a little more if necessary, if the tomatoes are too watery or the mass is not thick enough.

We thoroughly wash the jars under hot water with soda, after which we sterilize them in any convenient way (in the microwave, steam or in the oven). We also boil the lids separately for 1-2 minutes.

We spread the hot mass of tomatoes, bell peppers and onions in sterile jars and roll them up with lids. We cover everything with a towel or blanket and leave for several hours until it cools completely. Then we send it to storage in a refrigerator or cellar. We use an excellent preparation for making sauces, frying, gravy or serving with a main course with black bread. Bon Appetit!
