The classics of homemade preparations for the winter are, of course, pickled tomatoes. Any hostess can do this. And this simple recipe for tomatoes with garlic without sterilization is enough to use it once and next time you can easily repeat it yourself without cheat sheets.

Wash and dry the tomatoes. Use a fine toothpick to pierce each tomato in several places. Peel the garlic and grate it on a coarse grater.

Next, prepare the brine. Pour water into a saucepan, add salt, sugar, one tablespoon of grated garlic and bay leaf. Bring the brine to a boil and cook until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.

Wash and sterilize cans for seaming in any way convenient for you. Divide the tomatoes tightly into the jars. Remove the laurel casts from the brine and pour over the tomatoes. Cover the jars with clean lids and leave for 10-15 minutes.

Then pour the brine back into the pot and bring it to a boil.

Put the remaining garlic in jars of tomatoes and pour the hot brine into them. Close the lids tightly or roll up the cans with a sealer. Wrap the hot rolls in a warm blanket and leave to cool completely, then transfer the tomatoes to a cool place where they will be stored until winter.
