In this recipe, you are invited to cook tomatoes and onions from the “lick your fingers” series with the addition of gelatin to the marinade. Not all housewives like tomatoes with gelatin, but the preparation will turn out to be really tasty. Try it! Cooking with sterilization.

Pour the gelatin from the bags into a separate bowl and fill it with water for an hour to swell.

Ripe and firm tomatoes, rinse well and cut into halves.

Peel the onions and chop them into thin half rings.

Sterilize the jars for the blank in any way, boil the lids. Put a laurel leaf, clove buds and black peppercorns in each jar. Add a little (on the tip of a knife) ground cinnamon to the jars. Then put the tomatoes in jars, cut from top to bottom, shifting them in onion half rings.

In a saucepan, cook the marinade using the amount of water, salt and sugar specified in the recipe. Transfer the swollen gelatin to the boiling marinade and stir quickly to completely dissolve the gelatin. It is not necessary to boil gelatin, otherwise it will lose its gelling properties. Pour the prepared marinade over the tomatoes in jars.

Then, be sure to sterilize the tomatoes for 7 minutes according to the general rules for sterilizing the workpieces.

After sterilization, pour a tablespoon of 9% vinegar into each jar and roll up the tomatoes immediately. It is not necessary to wrap up the workpiece. Transfer cooled tomatoes with onions to storage.
