Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
To begin with, we wash glass jars well under hot water with soda, after which we sterilize them in any convenient way (in the oven, over steam or in the microwave). We also boil metal lids for 1 minute. Selecting suitable sized tomatoes. It is advisable to take small, dense fruits.
step 2 out of 5
Thoroughly rinse the tomatoes under running water and dry them on a paper towel. We take a wooden stick or a toothpick and pierce the vegetables in several places so that the skin does not burst when pouring marinade. Put them tightly in jars, pour boiling water over them, cover them with lids and let them stand for about 20 minutes. Next, put a special lid with holes on the cans and drain all the liquid into the pan. We send it to the fire, add salt, granulated sugar and bring to a boil. Cook for 3-4 minutes and remove from the stove.
step 3 out of 5
Peel the garlic and rub it on a medium or coarse grater. It can also be chopped with a blender or chopped very finely with a knife. You should not use a press, as this will make the marinade cloudy.
step 4 out of 5
Put one and a half tablespoons of chopped garlic on top of the tomatoes and pour everything with vinegar. Now we pour hot marinade into jars and roll up with sterile lids. Shake slightly to distribute the garlic evenly. It is thanks to this that it will look like snow. Next, turn the cans upside down, wrap them in a towel or blanket and leave for several hours until they cool completely.
step 5 out of 5
We send ready-made tomatoes in the snow for storage in a cellar or a dark, cool place. We open in winter and serve as a fragrant appetizer for the main course. Bon Appetit!
