A long-lasting snack is easy to make with a tomato. It is well served with meat or fish, and can also be prepared for the winter. Cooking in your own juice makes the dish as juicy and rich in taste as possible.

For preservation we choose strong ripe tomatoes. We wash them and scald them with boiling water for 2-3 minutes. The rest of the vegetables will be used for juice.

Cool the scalded tomatoes, remove the peels from them and put them in jars.

Pass the remaining tomatoes through a juicer or grind in a blender. We filter and get juice.

Pour the juice into a saucepan, add salt and put on the stove. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.

Pour tomatoes in jars with tomato juice. Close with a lid and immerse on a towel in a large pot of boiling water. We keep it on the stove for 30 minutes. Then let it cool and take it out of the pan. The tomatoes in their own juice are ready.
