Tomatoes in their own juice with garlic

Tomatoes in their own juice are one of the most delicious preparations for the winter. They are eaten almost instantly and do not stagnate in the cellar for a long time. And the garlic added to this roll gives the tomatoes a special flavor and piquancy.

Cooking process

Wash the greens, dry with paper towels, finely chop it with a knife. Peel the garlic, pass it through a press or rub it on a fine grater. Combine herbs and garlic.
step 2 out of 4
Wash the tomatoes, cut them crosswise, dip them in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then peel them off. Cut the tomatoes into quarters.
step 3 out of 4
Lay tomatoes in clean, sterilized jars, sprinkling them with chopped herbs, salt and sugar. Fill the jars to the top until you run out of tomatoes and seasonings.
step 4 out of 4
Cover the jars with lids. Put a towel or a special support on the bottom of a large saucepan, put the cans in the pan, pour water so that the cans protrude 1.5-2 centimeters from above. Sterilize the tomato jars for 10-15 minutes in boiling water. Then roll up the lids, turn the cans upside down, cover with a blanket and let cool.
