You can find various preparations for the winter made from tomatoes. But the most delicious tomato appetizer, in my opinion, is tomatoes in their own juice. This appetizer can be used to complement meat main courses, and can also be used to prepare sauces, such as pasta.

Wash the tomatoes thoroughly in cold water and pat dry. Then cut into several pieces, removing the stalk. Prepare the jars, wash thoroughly and sterilize in the microwave or oven. Peel the garlic, put it on the bottom of the jar along with the bay leaf. Fill sterile jars with tomatoes. Pour boiling water over for about 10 minutes.

Wash soft tomatoes thoroughly in cold water and dry, cut into several pieces, removing the stalk. Put in a container in which you will cook the filling, and grind with an immersion blender. Add cinnamon, stir, put on medium heat, bring to a boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Gently drain the water from the jars, add granulated sugar, salt, black peppercorns, allspice and table vinegar. Pour over with hot pouring made from chopped tomatoes. Put the lids in a saucepan, cover with water and boil for about 10 minutes.

Tighten the jars with sterile lids. Turn hot jars with tomato appetizers in their own juice upside down, wrap them in a warm blanket and leave them cool for about a day. Then turn over and move the jars to a cool, dark place for storage. The cooled snack can be tasted in a few days.
