Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Rinse small ripe tomatoes under a stream of warm running water and leave for 10-15 minutes on a kitchen towel to dry the tomatoes. During this time, we rinse the cans with baking soda, rinse with running water and sterilize in the oven at 110 degrees for 10 minutes. We put the washed tomatoes in sterilized jars.
step 2 out of 6
We wash soft tomatoes under running water, dry them on a kitchen towel and grind them in a blender or pass them through a meat grinder.
step 3 out of 6
Put the finished tomato sauce in a saucepan, add sugar, salt, bay leaf and pepper, mix well and put on fire. Bring the sauce to a boil, after boiling, reduce the heat to low and cook for 20 minutes.
step 4 out of 6
While the sauce is cooking, we pour boiling water over the tomatoes, cover the jars with lids, cover with a terry towel and leave to steam until the sauce is cooked. When the sauce is completely cooked, remove it from heat. Drain the water from the cans and fill them with hot sauce, to the very top.
step 5 out of 6
Tightly tighten the jars with boiled lids, turn them upside down and leave them to cool at room temperature under a terry towel. Then we put the jars of tomatoes in a cool dark place for storage.
step 6 out of 6
After 4-5 weeks the tomatoes are completely ready for tasting. Bon Appetit!
