Rolling tomatoes in jelly with onions will diversify your diet in winter. This is a very original preservation, which perfectly preserves the beneficial properties of vegetables and looks beautiful on the table.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Wash selected tomatoes under running water and dry. Cut each fruit in half.
step 2 out of 7
One very large onion or two small ones is enough. Peel the onions and cut into thin rings.
step 3 out of 7
Pour gelatin with a little water and set aside to swell.
step 4 out of 7
Pre-wash the seaming cans with baking soda or detergent, then sterilize. Boil the lids. Pour one tablespoon of sunflower oil into the prepared jars and put peppercorns.
step 5 out of 7
Then place the tomato slices and onion rings in layers in the jars. The onion should be the top layer.
step 6 out of 7
Place the gelatin in a steam bath or heat it up in the microwave until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Pour water into a saucepan and put it on fire. When the water is hot, add salt and sugar. Once the water boils, add the spices and simmer the marinade for 10 minutes. A couple of minutes before cooking, add the gelatinous mass and vinegar essence.
step 7 out of 7
Pour the hot marinade over the jars of vegetables and roll them up with the lids using a seaming machine. Set the seams upside down, cover them with a blanket and let them cool. Observe the jars for a while so that the lids do not swell and move them to a cool place where they will stand until the desired time.

Bon Appetit!
