Pear jam through a meat grinder for the winter

Winter preparations are great when you want something sweet and tasty. I want to share an incredibly fragrant and quite thick pear jam, cooked through a meat grinder. I definitely advise you to cook, and your family will be pleasantly surprised by the flavor combination of the delicacy.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Select the required amount of soft, ripe pears. Wash them thoroughly in warm running water using a fruit and vegetable brush. Dry the washed pears with a kitchen towel, then peel them with a vegetable peeler, and remove the seeds and core, then chop randomly.
step 2 out of 6
Wash oranges thoroughly in warm running water using a fruit and vegetable brush. Then pour boiling water over them and pat dry with a kitchen towel. Remove the orange zest with a fine grater, without touching the white part. Then peel and divide into slices, remove the seeds if necessary.
step 3 out of 6
Pass the prepared fruit through a meat grinder. Put the fruit mass in a deep container, add orange zest and the required amount of granulated sugar, mix thoroughly. Cover and leave the fruit mass until the granulated sugar crystals are completely dissolved for about 30 minutes.
step 4 out of 6
Pour the fruit mass into a metal bowl with a thick bottom, put on moderate heat and bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cook the jam for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally and removing the resulting foam. The fruit mass will thicken enough - this is a sign that the jam is ready.
step 5 out of 6
In the meantime, wash the jars thoroughly in warm water with baking soda and sterilize in a way convenient for you - in the oven, in the microwave or in a water bath. Pour boiling water over the lids or boil in a separate container. Gently spread the hot pear jam so as not to burn yourself in sterile jars using a ladle.
step 6 out of 6
Tighten hot jars of jam with sterile lids. Then turn them upside down and wrap them up with a blanket, towel, or something warm. Leave in this form until it cools completely for about 12-15 hours. Move completely cooled jars of pear jam to a cool place for storage - in the basement, cellar or closet.

Bon Appetit!
