Pear jam in slices for the winter

Another favorite among winter treats for our family is the pear slices. The jam turns out to be incredibly tasty and aromatic. It goes well with homemade cakes as a filling or a sweet addition.

Wash the lemon thoroughly in warm running water using a fruit and vegetable brush. Then pour boiling water over it and pat dry with a kitchen towel. Then cut into thin circles, remove the seeds if necessary. Put in a saucepan and cover with pre-prepared boiling water. Put on medium heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

Remove the boiled lemons from the water using a slotted spoon and put in a separate container. Pour the required amount of granulated sugar into the water in which the lemons were cooked, stirring occasionally, dissolve it completely over moderate heat.
step 3 out of 12
Select the required amount of juicy ripe pears. Wash them thoroughly in warm water using a fruit and vegetable brush. Dry the washed pears with a tea towel, then peel them of seeds and core, then cut them into thin slices.
step 4 out of 12
Put the prepared pears in a saucepan with a thick bottom, add the lemons, after cutting them into 4 parts, pour over the prepared syrup, stir and leave to brew for about an hour.

And the consistency of the jam will become thick enough. Wash the jars thoroughly in warm water with baking soda and sterilize in a convenient way - in the microwave, in the oven or in a water bath. Pour boiling water over the lids or boil in a separate saucepan.
step 8 out of 12
Gently spread the hot pear jam so as not to burn yourself in sterile jars using a ladle.
step 9 out of 12
Then screw back on with sterile caps.
step 10 out of 12
Then turn the jars of hot pear jam upside down and wrap something warm. Leave in this position until it cools completely for about a day.
step 11 out of 12
Move completely cooled jars of jam to a cool, dark place for long-term storage - in the basement, cellar or closet.
step 12 out of 12
Serve the finished pear jam in slices on the table to freshly brewed aromatic tea.
