Pear jam with orange for the winter

Recently I discovered a find that was perfect for my taste, and I want to share this wonderful recipe with you. Pear jam has an incredible flavor combination in conjunction with oranges. Oranges add a subtle note of jam and set off the sweetness of pears. Jam is served as an independent treat or used in the preparation of desserts.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
Select the required amount of soft, ripe pears. Wash them thoroughly in warm water using a fruit brush. Dry the washed pears with a kitchen towel, then peel them with a vegetable peeler, and remove the seeds and core, then finely chop.
step 2 out of 9
Wash the oranges thoroughly in warm running water using a fruit brush. Then pour boiling water over them and pat dry with a kitchen towel. Remove the orange zest with a fine grater, without touching the white part. Then peel and divide into wedges, cut into small pieces, removing seeds if necessary.
step 3 out of 9
Put the prepared fruits in a deep saucepan with a thick bottom, add orange zest and the required amount of granulated sugar, pour in the required amount of drinking water, mix thoroughly. Put on moderate heat and bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cook jam for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally and skimming off the resulting foam.
step 4 out of 9
Remove the cooked fruit mass from the heat, cool slightly and grind with an immersion blender until a smooth smooth consistency right in the saucepan. Put it back on medium heat and bring to a boil.
step 5 out of 9
Reduce heat and cook the jam for another 40-60 minutes, stirring occasionally. The fruit mass will thicken enough - this is a sign that the jam is ready. In the meantime, rinse the jars thoroughly in warm water with baking soda and sterilize in a way that is convenient for you. Pour boiling water over the lids or boil in a separate container.
step 6 out of 9
Hot pear jam with orange, carefully, so as not to burn yourself, arrange in sterile jars using a ladle.
step 7 out of 9
Tighten hot jars of jam with sterile lids.
step 8 out of 9
Then turn them upside down and wrap them up with a blanket, towel, or something warm. Leave in this state until completely cooled for about a day. Move completely cooled jars of jam to a cool place for storage - in the basement, cellar or pantry.
step 9 out of 9
Serve the finished pear jam with orange.

Bon Appetit!
