Pear jam with lemon for the winter

I highly recommend making a delicious and aromatic pear jam with lemon. Lemon gives the delicacy a delicate sourness. This jam can be used for a layer of biscuit rolls, pastries or cakes, as well as as an independent treat.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 12
First of all, prepare the syrup. Pour the required amount of granulated sugar into a saucepan with a thick bottom and pour in cold drinking water. Stir thoroughly until the granulated sugar crystals are completely dissolved. Then put on moderate heat, and while stirring constantly, bring to a boil.
step 2 out of 12
In the meantime, rinse the lemons thoroughly in warm running water using a fruit and vegetable brush. Then pour boiling water over them and pat dry with a kitchen towel. Then cut into semicircles, remove the seeds if necessary.
step 3 out of 12
Put prepared lemons in boiling syrup, bring to a boil and boil for about 5 minutes.
step 4 out of 12
Select the required amount of juicy ripe pears. Wash them thoroughly in warm water using a fruit and vegetable brush. Dry the washed pears with a tea towel, then peel them of seeds and core, then cut them into thin slices.
step 5 out of 12
Remove the boiled lemons from the syrup using a slotted spoon and put in a separate container.
step 6 out of 12
Put the saucepan with syrup over low heat and boil for about 5 minutes.
step 7 out of 12
Put prepared pears in a saucepan with syrup, stir and remove from heat.
step 8 out of 12
Cool syrup completely, stirring pears occasionally.
step 9 out of 12
Put the saucepan with pears on low heat, put the lemons, mix thoroughly. Bring to a boil and simmer for 7-10 minutes. Then remove from heat and cool completely. This will take about 2-3 hours.
step 10 out of 12
Put the saucepan over low heat again, bring to a boil and boil for 5-7 minutes. Then remove from heat and cool completely. This will take about 2-3 hours.
step 11 out of 12
Put the saucepan over low heat again, bring to a boil and boil for 5-7 minutes. In the meantime, wash the jars in warm water and baking soda and sterilize in a convenient way. Pour boiling water over the lids.
step 12 out of 12
Hot pear jam with lemon, gently so as not to burn yourself, arrange in sterile jars using a ladle, screw with sterile lids. Then turn them upside down and wrap something warm. Leave as it is until it cools completely. Move the completely cooled jars to a cool place for storage - in the basement, cellar or closet.

Bon Appetit!
