Pear jam at home a simple recipe

I really love to cook homemade cakes with various fillings. Today I want to share my favorite and simple recipe for pear jam, which I most often use to make homemade pies.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 10
Select the required amount of soft, ripe pears. Wash them thoroughly in cool running water using a fruit and vegetable brush.
step 2 out of 10
Dry the prepared pears with a kitchen towel, then peel them with a vegetable peeler, and remove the seeds and core, then chop randomly. Place them in a heavy-bottomed metal dish.
step 3 out of 10
Add the required amount of drinking water, put on moderate heat and bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook the fruit for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
step 4 out of 10
Cool the fruit mass slightly, then use a hand blender and chop until smooth. Wipe the crushed mass through a fine sieve and punch again with a blender.
step 5 out of 10
Add the required amount of granulated sugar and mix thoroughly.
step 6 out of 10
Put the saucepan over moderate heat and bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook the jam for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
step 7 out of 10
The fruit mass will thicken enough - this is a sign that the jam is ready.
step 8 out of 10
Prepare the jars. Wash them well in warm water with baking soda and sterilize in a way convenient for you - in the oven, in the microwave or in a water bath. Pour boiling water over the lids or boil in a separate container. I sterilized in a water bath.
step 9 out of 10
Gently place the hot pear jam in sterile jars so as not to burn your hands.
step 10 out of 10
Tighten hot jars of jam with sterile lids. Then turn them upside down and wrap them up with a terrycloth towel or something warm. Leave in this state until completely cooled for about a day. Transfer the completely cooled jars of pear jam to a dark, cool place for storage - in the basement, cellar or closet.

Bon Appetit!
