Jam from plums and apples

I don’t know why, but I have always associated jam with apples, until I once tasted jam made from plums and apples. I suggest you use this wonderful recipe too. For jam, you need to choose soft and sweet varieties of apples and fleshy varieties of plums.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Prepare the ingredients for the plum and apple jam. Rinse plums and apples thoroughly under cold running water. Cut the plums into two or four pieces and remove the seeds.
step 2 out of 6
Peel apples and seeds. You can peel it if you want. Cut into medium sized pieces.
step 3 out of 6
Place the sliced fruit in a deep saucepan with a thick bottom and add the required amount of drinking water. Cover and cook until the fruit is completely softened. This will take approximately 35-45 minutes.
step 4 out of 6
Put the cooked fruits in a fine sieve in portions and grind. Put the finished fruit puree back into the saucepan.
step 5 out of 6
Add the required amount of granulated sugar. Place the pot over low heat. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring occasionally for about an hour and a half. During this time, the jam will boil down well and thicken. Prepare jars, wash thoroughly and sterilize in the microwave or oven. Banks must be completely dry.
step 6 out of 6
Using a ladle, gently pour the jam over sterile jars. Tighten hot jars of jam from plums and apples with lids, after sprinkling them with boiling water, and turn them upside down. Leave as it is until completely cooled, covered with a warm blanket or towel. Then turn the jars over and transfer to a cool, dark place for storage.

Enjoy!
