Plum jam with agar-agar

Prepare a thick and rich jam with pieces of plums with a pleasant gentle sourness in a slow cooker. Adding gelling agar will make the jam very thick in consistency and shorten cooking time. Such a preparation is delicious both in the form of an independent dessert and in the form of a filling in baked goods.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Wash the plums and divide in half, taking out the seeds. Transfer half of the prepared fruit to a slow cooker, add ½ cup of water and set the baking mode. Cook for 20 minutes, during this time the plum will release juice and partially boil.
step 2 out of 6
Use a blender to puree the second part of the fruit. Grind the mixture through a sieve and transfer to a bowl.
step 3 out of 6
Pour in the remaining water, mix thoroughly and add agar and let it brew for 15 minutes.
step 4 out of 6
When the cooking time in the slow cooker is over, add the contents of the bowl, add citric acid and sugar. Stir well and cook the jam on the same mode for 10 minutes.
step 5 out of 6
Prepare sterile jars and boil lids.
step 6 out of 6
Transfer the hot jam to jars and seal. Until the jam has cooled down, it is quite liquid, after cooling in the room it will thicken significantly.

Bon Appetit!
