Pitted plum jam

I suggest making a delicious plum jam, which can be used to fill pies from butter or shortcrust pastry. I really love homemade cakes and therefore I cook a large amount of plum jam.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Prepare the ingredients for the pitted plum jam.
step 2 out of 7
Sort the plums thoroughly, and then rinse under cold running water. Cut the plums into two or four pieces and remove the seeds.
step 3 out of 7
Twist the pitted plums through a meat grinder or chop with a food processor or blender.
step 4 out of 7
Put the chopped plums in a deep saucepan with a thick bottom and add the required amount of granulated sugar. Stir well, cover and leave the chopped mass. This will take about 1.5-2 hours. During this time, the granulated sugar will completely dissolve.
step 5 out of 7
Place the pot over low heat. Bring to a boil and cook for about 20 minutes. During this time, the jam will boil down well and thicken. Prepare the jars, wash thoroughly and sterilize in the microwave or oven. Banks must be completely dry.
step 6 out of 7
Using a ladle, gently pour the jam over sterile jars. Tighten hot jars of jam from plums with lids, after pouring boiling water over them, and turn them upside down. Leave as it is until completely cooled, covered with a warm blanket or towel.
step 7 out of 7
Then turn the jars over and transfer to a cool, dark place for long-term storage. You can try the finished plum jam the next day or make homemade cakes with it.

Enjoy!
