Cherry jam with gelatin for the winter

Many housewives use the recipe: the jam is both dense and tasty, so it is added as a filling in baked goods or used as a spread for sandwiches.

Before we start preparing the jam, we prepare all the necessary ingredients: cherries, gelatin and sugar. We sort out all the collected cherries and put aside only ripe, strong and juicy berries. We throw away the rotten and damaged ones. Rinse the cherries and immediately put them in a colander. Before removing the bones, you need to give it time to dry.

We put a large container next to the workplace in advance. We will send cherry pulp into it. Remove seeds from berries. In parallel, we remove the "tails" and leaves. When all the pulp is in a bowl or saucepan, fill it with sugar.

Now the cherries need to be boiled. We put the basin (pan) on the stove and turn on the fire. When the cherry mass begins to boil, remove the foam and stir it, cook for 30 minutes.

In between stirring the cherries, prepare the gelatin. Dissolve the granules in warm water (about ½ cup). It takes time for the gelatin to dissolve, so we leave it alone for a few minutes.

Pour the dissolved gelatin into the cherry mass. Cook the mixture over low heat until thick for 10 minutes. Bring the jam to a puree state using a hand blender. We repeat the cooking procedure again.

We prepare the required number of cans and lids for jam seaming. We carefully examine them and clean them with soda. Well washed containers and lids, sterilize in any convenient way.
