Jam from apples and pears at home for the winter

Apples and pears are the most favorite fruits in our family. There are a lot of them at their summer cottage in good years. I prepare juices and compotes, as well as preserves and preserves. Today I propose to cook apple and pear jam for the winter. Jam is a versatile treat that can be served on its own or to complement your favorite desserts or pastries.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
Measure out the required number of pears. Choose ripe, juicy pears. Wash them thoroughly under cool running water. Dry the prepared pears by placing them on a clean kitchen towel, and then peel them with a vegetable peeler. Cut the peeled pears into small pieces of arbitrary shape, after removing the core with the seeds.
step 2 out of 8
Put the prepared pears in the multicooker bowl. Close the lid of the multicooker, set the “Steam cooking” program on the panel of the appliance, the cooking time is 20 minutes.
step 3 out of 8

step 6 out of 8
After the beep, open the lid of the appliance and carefully remove the apples. Grind the apples with a hand blender until smooth. Transfer the chopped fruit mass to a metal dish with a thick bottom. Add the required amount of granulated sugar.
step 7 out of 8
Put on low heat, bring to a boil and cook jam for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally. The fruit mass will thicken enough - this is a sign that the jam is ready. Prepare the jars. Wash them well in warm water with baking soda and sterilize in a way that is convenient for you. Pour boiling water over the lids or boil.
step 8 out of 8
Arrange the hot apple and pear jam in sterile jars and tighten with sterile lids. Turn the jars of jam upside down and wrap them in a towel. Leave in this form until completely cooled for a day, then transfer to a cool dark place for storage.

Bon Appetit!
