Yellow plum jam

The yellow plum is fleshy and very sweet. From it, a jam, remarkable in consistency, is obtained. I often prepare jam from the yellow plum for its further use in pies. The aromatic filling gives the baked goods an excellent taste.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Prepare the jellix and measure out the granulated sugar for the yellow plum jam.
step 2 out of 6
Rinse the plums thoroughly under cold running water and then dry. Cut the dried plums into two or four pieces and remove the seeds.
step 3 out of 6
Use a juicer, meat grinder, food processor or blender to grind the peeled plums to a smooth consistency.
step 4 out of 6
Place the plum puree in a deep saucepan with a thick bottom. In a small container, combine the contents of the bag with the gelatin and a few tablespoons of granulated sugar, stir and pour into a saucepan. Put on low heat and bring to a boil, gradually add the remaining granulated sugar, stirring constantly.
step 5 out of 6
Bring to a boil, cook for about 5-7 minutes more. Remove from heat. Prepare jars, wash thoroughly and sterilize in the microwave or oven. Banks must be completely dry. Using a large spoon, carefully spread the jam over sterile jars.
step 6 out of 6
Tighten hot jars of yellow plum jam with lids, after pouring boiling water over them. Leave to cool completely, covered with a warm blanket or towel. Then move the jam to a cool, dark place for storage. After cooling completely, the jam will thicken well, and you can use it to make homemade cakes.

Enjoy!
