Even on a diet, sometimes you want to pamper yourself with something delicious. Such a dish can be prepared at any time of the day without fear of ruining the figure. All ingredients are as simple as the preparation itself.

First, we need to grind the cottage cheese. This can be done in a mortar. You can also simply crush it down with the back of a spoon. Add 1 tablespoon of honey to the curd. Stir the mixture well. After that, break a chicken egg to it and stir everything again. Add salt as the last ingredient. The amount may vary depending on your preference.
Sift the flour before adding it. Do this several times. So you will definitely remove debris from it, and the dough as a result will turn out to be very airy. For these dumplings, you need to use whole grain flour. Add it in small portions to the mixture of cottage cheese and honey. First, knead the dough with a spoon. Then you can do it with your hands. As a result, the dough should not be very tight. It may stick to your hands a little. Cover it with a towel and let stand for 15-20 minutes.
For the filling, we only need fresh cherries. Be sure to rinse them several times. Place the berries on a towel to absorb excess moisture. You need to get the seeds from the berries. Leaving them is not recommended, as it can be hazardous to health. To do this, you can use a special device or an ordinary pin. Transfer the berries to a bowl.
Remove the dough from the bowl and place it on a wooden board or table. Tear off small pieces from the dough. You can roll them out with a rolling pin or flatten them with your hands on both sides. As a result, you should have circles of approximately the same size. Their thickness should be approximately 3 millimeters. Place the circles spaced apart.
Place the cherries in the center of each circle. Their number depends on your preference. The main thing is that the dumplings do not break during the cooking process. Connect the edges of the dough. Press them down with your fingers. Make sure no holes remain in the dough. If cherry juice gets on the edges of the dough, the dumplings may come unstuck during cooking. Lay them out on a board or parchment paper.
There are two ways to cook dumplings: steamed or in a saucepan. In this recipe, we will boil dumplings. Fill a pot with cold water. Transfer it to the stove. When the water boils, add a little salt to it. You can skip this step, but salt can enhance the flavor of the cherries. Place the dumplings in a saucepan quickly. Stir them constantly with the back of a spoon or slotted spoon. Then the dumplings will not stick together. When the water boils again, reduce the heat to almost low. Continue cooking the dumplings for another 5 minutes. The finished dumplings will float to the surface of the water.They must be removed from the water immediately. If this is not done, the dumplings can become very soft.
