Making such a delicious jam takes about three days, but the result is definitely worth it. According to this recipe, a transparent amber jam from whole ranetki is obtained, which in taste and aroma is very similar to fresh apples.

We wash the fruits thoroughly under running water, selecting only clean fruits without traces of decay. At the base, pierce with a toothpick or skewer.

Pour the granulated sugar into a saucepan with a thick bottom, fill it with water and put on a slow fire.

After 2 minutes, add citric acid.

Cook, stirring constantly until sugar is completely dissolved and transparent.

Pour fruit into the resulting syrup and bring to a boil over medium heat. Next, cook for 10 minutes.

Then we turn off the heat, cover it with a plate of a suitable size on top and, as it were, “drown” it in syrup. We put oppression on top (a three-liter jar filled with water is perfect), so that the ranetki are completely covered with syrup and leave to soak for 10-12 hours.

We repeat the procedure at least 3 times. Check the readiness by the degree of transparency of the apples.

We pour the finished product into sterilized jars. Roll up and leave to cool completely.
