Honey cake is one of the most popular and beloved desserts on the territory of the countries of the former Soviet Union. I propose to prepare a lush honey cake with sour cream and nuts with tender cakes, which will decorate your festive table and solemnly finish your meal.

Break the chicken eggs into a deep container, add granulated sugar and use a mixer to bring to a smooth, fluffy consistency.

Add honey and salt and mix well. Pour the required amount of wheat flour and baking soda into another container, mix and sift through a sieve several times, then gradually add to the egg mass and mix thoroughly.

Line a baking dish with parchment or brush with a little vegetable oil or butter. Pour the dough gently and spread evenly.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, place the pan inside and bake for 15 minutes, then lower the temperature to 180 degrees and bake for another 20 minutes. Check readiness with a wooden skewer. Cool the finished biscuit first in the form, and then transfer to the wire rack. Divide the cooled biscuit into two parts.

Rinse the prunes and cover with boiling water. Strain through a sieve, drain the liquid into a separate bowl. Combine sour cream with granulated sugar and chill the cream in the refrigerator. Mix the liquid from the prunes with honey and soak the cakes with it. Then put the cake on a dish, brush it with sour cream. Cut the prunes into strips or cubes and place on top of the cream.
