Frozen vegetable stew with potatoes

Frozen vegetables are incredibly convenient to prepare food and significantly save time in the kitchen. There is no need to wash, peel and chop different vegetables into even cubes - you just need to open the bag and pour the contents into the “place of application”. This is just a godsend for a stew! In addition, we add only potatoes from vegetables for greater satiety and onions for juiciness.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
Peel the onions, rinse and cut into small cubes.
step 2 out of 8
We take the mixture of frozen vegetables out of the freezer and let it thaw slightly. There is no need to completely defrost vegetables, you just need to allow excess frozen moisture to thaw and drain.
step 3 out of 8
In a saucepan, melt the butter until it is liquid.
step 4 out of 8
Put chopped onions in hot oil and fry them while stirring until translucent. Add frozen vegetables, stir and close the saucepan with a lid. Simmer the mixture for ten minutes.
step 5 out of 8
Peel the potatoes, rinse and cut into small cubes.
step 6 out of 8
Add the chopped potatoes to the saucepan to the vegetable mixture and stir. Pour in the specified amount of water or broth, add salt and black pepper to taste. Cover the stew with a lid and continue stewing for half an hour at low temperature.
step 7 out of 8
At the end of cooking, taste the stew and, if necessary, add salt and spices as desired.
step 8 out of 8
Put the hot stew on portioned plates, sprinkle with chopped herbs and serve.

Bon Appetit!
