Crumbly pilaf with chicken in a slow cooker

To cook crumbly pilaf with chicken in a multicooker, you need to know some secrets. Chief among them is the correct proportion of rice and water. To make the meat soft and the rice crumbled, the dish is salted only when water is added, and it is poured little by little through the vertical holes from top to bottom. Carrots for this kind of pilaf are cut into cubes, as grated carrots stick together rice grains. The set of spices for crumbly pilaf is standard: salt and garlic, and the rest are added to taste. The cooking program depends on the model of your multicooker.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Rinse the required amount of rice thoroughly under running water, because the friability of the finished dish also depends on this.
step 2 out of 5
Rinse the chicken meat, pat dry with a towel and cut into small pieces. Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl so that it completely covers the bottom. Turn on the Fry program, heat the oil and transfer the chicken pieces into it. Cook the meat for 15 minutes without closing the appliance lid.
step 3 out of 5
Peel the onions and carrots while the meat is cooking. Chop the onion into thin quarter rings, carrots into small pieces. Fry vegetables with meat for another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally with a spatula.
step 4 out of 5
Then lay the washed rice on top of the meat and vegetables in an even layer. Make grooves in it with a knife and pour a little water into them in the calculated amount. It is recommended to pour water hot. Then add salt to the dish to your liking.
step 5 out of 5
Peel the head of garlic a little, cut off the bottom and place it in the middle of the dish. Then close the lid of the multicooker and set the "Pilaf" or "Stew" program to the default time. At the end of the program, remove the head of garlic, gently stir the pilaf with a spatula and serve.
