I propose to prepare a simple and quick appetizer of sliced ​​cucumbers in tomato sauce for the winter. The recipe is easy and does not require special skills and expensive ingredients. I often make this snack from large cucumbers that are not suitable for canning.

Rinse the cucumbers thoroughly under cold running water, pat dry by placing them on a dry kitchen towel or using paper towels, cut off the ends on both sides, then cut into slices no more than 1 centimeter thick. Put the prepared cucumbers in a deep metal bowl.

Peel the garlic, rinse under cold water, and then pass through a press, grate on a fine grater or chop with a blender. Place with the rest of the ingredients.
