Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 16
Prepare the necessary spices, peel the onions.
step 2 out of 16
Select tomatoes that are dense and about the same size. Tear off the ponytails, rinse thoroughly under cold running water, dry.
step 3 out of 16
Cut the dried tomatoes in half and remove the stalks. Cut the peeled onions into 1 centimeter thick rings.
step 4 out of 16
Put the gelatin in a container and fill with the amount of drinking water indicated on the package. Leave it on for about 25-30 minutes.
step 5 out of 16
Prepare jars, wash thoroughly and sterilize in the microwave or oven. I sometimes, like this time, sterilize in a water bath. This will take 5-7 minutes after the water boils. Put the lids in a saucepan, cover with water and boil for about 10 minutes.
step 6 out of 16
Cut the onions into rings, and if the onions are large, then into half rings. Peel the garlic. I cook such tomatoes with both onions and garlic. You use what you love more. But both types of tomatoes are delicious.
step 7 out of 16
Put black peppercorns on the bottom of sterile jars and pour in a tablespoon of vegetable oil.
step 8 out of 16
Fill the jars with chopped tomatoes and onions, alternating layers.
step 9 out of 16
On top should be onions.
step 10 out of 16
If you are using garlic, cut the cloves into several pieces and fill the voids with them.
step 11 out of 16
Dissolve the swollen gelatin in a water bath.
step 12 out of 16
Pour the required amount of drinking water into a saucepan. Place on medium heat. Bring to a boil. Add granulated sugar, salt, bay leaves, black peppercorns and cloves, cook for 10 minutes. 1 minute before cooking, pour in the vinegar essence and melted gelatin, stir and immediately remove from heat.
step 13 out of 16
Pour the jars with the prepared marinade, place one bay leaf in each jar. Then transfer them to a pot lined with a kitchen towel, pour warm water over the hangers of the jars.
step 14 out of 16
Cover the jars with sterile lids.
step 15 out of 16
Bring to a boil and sterilize for about 10-15 minutes over moderate heat.
step 16 out of 16
Gently remove hot cans with tomato appetizers from the pan and roll up with a seaming machine. Turn the jars upside down, wrap them in a warm blanket and leave them in this form until they cool completely for about a day. Then turn over and move the jars to a cool, dark place for storage.

Bon Appetit!
