Bagels with jam on margarine and kefir

Delicious bagels with jam! The dough is soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. For the filling, we use thick jam - it is juicy and well emphasizes the delicate taste of the muffin. Such bagels are very convenient to prepare for future use, since they are well stored in a sealed container without losing their taste. You can take pastries with you or serve them on the table in case of unexpected guests - very handy when there is such delicious food in stock.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
First of all, we measure the required amount of kefir and pour soda into it. Mix thoroughly and let stand for five to ten minutes. At this time, we begin to prepare the dough. Break eggs into a bowl. Pour granulated sugar and vanillin to them. Melt margarine on the stove or in the microwave until liquid and pour into a bowl. Mix everything well together until smooth.
step 2 out of 7
Add kefir with soda to the resulting mass, mix.
step 3 out of 7
Sift the flour through a fine sieve. Add to the prepared liquid mixture along with the baking powder. Knead the dough first with a spoon, then with your hands. You don't need to knead for a long time. The finished mass should be soft and not sticky to your hands.
step 4 out of 7
Cut the kneaded dough into two equal-sized pieces and roll each into a bun. Sprinkle the working surface with a small amount of flour and roll each part of the dough on it into a thin round layer. We cut the circles of the dough into sectors with an ordinary or curly knife.
step 5 out of 7
Put a small amount of thick jam on the outer wide part of each segment. We try to lay it so that the mass does not go beyond the limits of the dough when pressing and rolling the bagel.
step 6 out of 7
Then we roll up the bagel, tucking the jam inward, towards the inner narrow part. Thus, we alternately form bagels from the entire rolled dough.
step 7 out of 7
Grease the baking sheet with vegetable oil or cover with oiled parchment. Put the formed bagels on a baking sheet at a distance from each other, as they will increase in volume during baking. We set a baking sheet with bagels in an oven preheated to 185 degrees and bake for twenty to twenty-five minutes. The finished bagels should grow up and brown noticeably. We take the pastries out of the oven and use a flat spatula to transfer them from the baking sheet to a serving dish. Sprinkle the pile of bagels with sifted icing sugar. Serve warm or cold.

Bon Appetit!
