The recipe is intended for lovers of rye bread at home, but not every model of Panasonic bread machine has a program for such bread. In this recipe, rye bread is baked using the French program. Baking takes 6 hours, but the result will please you. The bread will be soft, porous, well-baked and crisp like a baguette.

First, prepare all the ingredients for baking rye bread.

Put all the products in the bread maker in the order shown, otherwise you will get a different bread. Measure the ingredients with a measuring spoon and on an electronic scale. Pour sugar into the bowl.

Then add dry yeast.

Pour water at home temperature into any container and dissolve the kvass wort in it.

Then pour the wort into a bowl.

Then pour the sunflower oil into the bowl. If you do not like the buttery texture of the bread, you can skip the butter.

Measure the amount of rye and wheat flour indicated in the recipe on a scale.

Sift the flour through a sieve directly into the bowl.

Thus, there will be dry ingredients at the bottom of the bowl, water and wort on top of them, and everything is covered with flour.

Place the bowl with the ingredients in the bread maker and close the lid. Install the French program. You do not need to set the size of the loaf and the color of the crust in this program. The default bake time will be 6 hours. Turn on the Start / Stop button.

When the end of the program beeps, remove the baked loaf from the bowl. The crust on top sometimes settles, but this is only the only drawback of such bread. It will be well completely baked and crispy.

Cool the bread on a wire rack and under a towel, or rather leave it overnight.
