Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Peel the head of cabbage from the top leaves and chop into thin strips. Sprinkle the cabbage with salt and squeeze out a little so that it gives juice. Wash the tomatoes and cucumbers. Then cut the cucumbers into circles and the tomatoes into small cubes.
step 2 out of 4
Chop the peeled carrots on a Korean grater. Chop the onion into thin half rings. Peel the bell peppers and cut into wedges. Place the cabbage and other shredded vegetables in a large heavy-bottomed saucepan. Add black peppercorns, laurel leaves, vinegar, sugar to the vegetables and mix gently. Leave the salad to marinate for 1 hour.
step 3 out of 4
After this time, pour vegetable oil into the salad and a saucepan, covered with a lid, put on high heat. When the salad is boiling, open the lid and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes.
step 4 out of 4
Put the prepared salad hot in sterile jars and roll up with boiled lids. Turn the jars upside down, cover with a warm blanket and, after cooling, transfer to a storage location.
